Free and paid content is planned after launch
Paradox's official FAQ says the plan is to keep building LEGO Skylines with both paid and free post-launch content. That establishes the general model, not a product catalog.
What is known about paid DLC?
Only the intention to offer paid content is official. Expansion size, cosmetic packs, creator packs, licensed themes, currencies, bundles, and ownership rules are unknown. Familiar Cities: Skylines DLC categories should not be projected onto LEGO Skylines.
What is known about free updates?
Free content is also part of the plan. Paradox has not described whether that means features, buildings, decorations, patches, events, or compatibility updates. “Free content” is the supported wording.
Nintendo's in-game purchases label
Nintendo includes an in-game purchases descriptor. Store metadata can signal commerce without defining the items, prices, currency, or release timing. It does not establish a specific shop, battle pass, subscription, or microtransaction system.
Season pass, deluxe edition, and preorder bonuses
No season pass, deluxe edition, collector edition, founder pack, preorder bonus, or upgrade path has been announced. The game's base price is also unknown.
Is the Ice Tower DLC?
The Ice Tower is presented as a newsletter sign-up reward for a future city. It should not be labeled a paid DLC pack, preorder bonus, or edition-exclusive item unless the official terms change.
When will DLC details arrive?
Paradox says it will share more closer to release. This page will update when official names, prices, schedules, entitlement rules, or free-update details appear.
